/ about · the longer version
eight years
of the web.
mamikon arakelyan is a senior software engineer in yerevan, armenia. full stack in the honest sense: at ease in the database, at home on the server, and still caring about the last pixel in the browser.
the career started in 2008 at a shop called fatal error, which turned out to be a fine name for an education. since then: agencies, hosting companies, a hospitality platform, and now ucraft, where the product is a website builder used by people who have never written a line of code.
the through-line is the web itself. domains, servers, deploys, databases, interfaces. everything between a typed url and a rendered page.

/ how i work
ship the boring solution. read the code that is already there. write for the person who inherits your work.
most of engineering is deciding what not to build. the rest is building it so quietly that nobody notices it working. senior is not a bigger toolbox. it is a shorter list of things you still get wrong, and the patience to fix them properly.
